I thought I would start a new thread for reviewing parts. I have tried some different parts on my vehicles and would like to share my experience with them. anybody is welcome to comment or review their own stuff too.

The first one I want to add is a steering upgrade for the slash 2wd. I found out you can put the steering linkage from the slash 4x4 into the 2wd. Traxxas offers this as a complete steering linkage kit. The advantage is a much better intergrated servo saver and is stronger. Anyway the install is pretty straight foward with the included instructions. The couple of tips I have is to definatly update to bearings instead of the included plastic bushings, and when assembling the servo saver, to put the spring and arm stack on first then install the bearing. The bearings act as a retainer (you will see what I mean when building.)

We installed on my sons Slash, and the difference is easy to feel. It cuts down on wandering, has more of a direct feel when steering, and is much stronger setup. I would definatly recomend this as a hopup to Slash owners.

Have fun!

Next review is for the Dynamite swaybar kit for the Slash 2wd.

The instructions show the install so it went smooth. Just assemble the bar befor putting on truck. make sure each side is equal for the retainers and the linkage mount .

Driving with the Swaybar installed is a HUGE difference! The truck corners flatter, has less traction roll and is way more stable. It does change how the truck drives and feels, so you may have to drive it differently than what you would be used to. Instead of the truck wandering down the straightaways, it goes straighter. You can also enter corners faster, and it even improves feel though the rough stuff. The Dynamite Swaybar kit is way worth it, inexpensive, and is some of the best money spent on the Slash. We would definatly recomend it.

Have fun!
