Any interest in a TC class? I would run this class again in a heart beat. really fun, bump and run style racing, good for the beginners too.

I'm open to rule changes if you guys want to make it more "dirt oval" similare. I would perfer brushless mod, but that's just me. A stock class would be fine too.

Any suggestion or people interested?

BTW, another great point about this class, is there are a ton of car's to pick from. And set-up is not as important as running on carpet would be.

In fact you need a softer (less stiff) car on dirt, so many of the plastic tub chassis's work great too/still.

I plan on trying to race this class in the near future. The rules for stock say rubber tires and in the general rules, rubber tires need to be treaded. Anyone know what the preferred tire would be? If I have some HPI Vintage TransAm tires, would those work decent?

Its realy funny that this class has not even seen a single heat race yet. I bet I have had six different people all that have raced other classes already if I think people will race it. I keep telling them to bring them out and they will come! If I need to tweak some rules, at this point with nothing running we will alter them to what makes the most happy. As to the rubber tire question I think about any treaded tire you have will hook up fine. Is there a better tire, not sure have not seen more then one tc car on the track at a time. I bet if two show up one weekend, there will be 3 times that the following weekend. Just from talking with folks the mod classes seams to have the highest interest if that means anything?

Thanks for the reply. When I am definitely sure on when we are coming down I'll be sure to post trying to make sure there will be a class. We'll be ready to run mods if need be.

The other class of interest for us will be Limited LM.

I brought my TC4 and ran it stock with rubber tires. I was the only one, so Charlie set me run in the stock truck class. Man that was fun. 4WD really makes the car nimble.

I think I'm going to come down this Saturday with it again...

My friend Phil showed up late last night just to check the place out. When we come down we'll each have Touring Cars. I will be sure to post when I know for sure when we're coming.

Chris ran really well Saturday for just throwing on the track. Sorry we had to run you in the truck class but seamed to work out OK. We will run Stock or Mod TC classes when they start showing up. With as many people that have asked me about it there should be 6-10 if they all bring them out on the same Saturday. I'm thinking this will be one of our most competitive class.

I loved running TC at that other dirt track down there. They are great for beginners too. When I do make it down there (the 29th or the 6th) I might even bring a second car and radio for a loaner if anyone wants to run it.

Alright, I have it figured out and we will make it down this weekend (29th). Like I said, I'll try to bring my extra car too. I don't really care if we run stock or mod, I guess the only thing I'd prefer is to run on foams but that's not a big deal.

Couple questions: In case my TransAm tires are not working, does the shop stock any TC tires? Have you had plenty of pit spots or should I bring a table just in case? Loaner transponders are available right?

Thanks,
Adam

I'll be there on Sat too. I'm currently geared-up for stock, but I can switch it easily enough... I checked with Charlie yesterday and he has TC pink foams and HPI rubber in stock.

Very cool. I'll get my stuff ready for mod, and let my buddy Phil know too so he can be more prepared.

How open is the motor rule for this mod class? Is any brushless allowed? Could I run a Mamba if I wanted?
