Has there been any thought on what next winter's oval classes and rules will be. I know it is kind of early but could use the time to get organized and figure out what a guy wants to run

Steve,

I was up at Teas a couple of weeks back and Charlie seemed content on staying with last years' format. I am not speaking for him, but that is the impression I got from him.

I know I am set up to run 17.5 sprint, b-mod, and 17.5 late model, so if he goes to a 13.5 spec class I am all for it - save for needing to buy some new battery packs and motors! :-)

See you at Teas, Dan

More than likely any chassis combo but spec motor 17.5 or 13.5. Only really limited class for chassis is Limited Late Model with B4 type buggy with buggy shocks, no slipper eliminator,13.5 motor and rubber tires. Lot of Putnam, GFRP, Custom Works and JRC cars for the other classes.

Just to make it clear as a few rumors about any changes and not been pit in black and white. So the well are you going to change this motor, or the well so and so said we are going to eliminate a class and all run this motor is all undecided at this point.

We are looking closely at what people talking about and seeing how we can get the best possible racing.

We have a class that is going to be geared at person as spec class using a specific car with the intent of low cost entry point and low cost of racing. More on that class soon.

Stock truck and LLM will also have one change to them. These classes can gain big power and quicker times by the ESC's now out there. There has become a big gap from the fast cars to the middle of the pack cars. So for me to not have to ban specific equipment or additional teching there will be a min lap time that racers can not run faster then. This should also get good racers who can run faster times and dominate a class the push to move up to a higher skill level class where they would compete with people of similar skills on a more fair playing field.

I probably misunderstood which LM class you were talking about, is it the rubber tire class that is going to be a breakout class? I know what I would like to see happen. No outlaw LM, 13.5 LM as top class and a rubber tire 17.5 class with any chassis as long as it weighed the same as what the buggy clss was last year. A buggy darn near won the 17.5 at the nats last year and it would be cheaper to put a rocket together than tryin to make a buggy work.

Yep the break out time is just for our rubber tire buggy chassis class, not any of the foam tire classes! These classes are to be entry level with reasonable speed achievable with entry level experience and limited amount of money invested. Anyone with the skills or who want to go faster we hope will find a place in the more open foam tire DODC style classes.
